Man, I was just chilling at home one foggy evening, doodling with my sketchbook, when I stumbled into the strangest idea for a drawing. I’d been messing around with some random art prompts, and one combo hit me like a lightning bolt: “eye, city, mist.” I’m no pro artist, but I love getting weird with my pencil, so I dove in.

I started sketching this huge, creepy creature hovering over a city skyline—kinda like New York, with the Empire State Building and other tall buildings in the background. Its head is smooth and alien-like, almost like a lizard or octopus, but with one giant, glowing eye staring down at everything. I gave it wild, hair-like tendrils swirling around, dripping with mist, like it’s floating in some dreamy fog. I added little dots and circles around it, like tiny planets or bubbles, and some drippy lines from its mouth to make it look extra spooky. The city below is faint and blurry, like it’s fading away while this monster takes over.

I imagined this thing as a silent watcher, chilling above the city, maybe spying on people or just hanging out in its own weird world. It’s part ghost, part nightmare, and totally out there! I laughed while drawing it because it’s so bizarre, but I couldn’t stop—I loved how it turned out, like something from a sci-fi movie or a crazy dream I had after too much pizza.

This drawing came from playing with those wacky prompts I found online, which are awesome for sparking wild ideas. I didn’t plan it out; I just let “eye, city, mist” guide me, and this creature popped out on the page. It’s one of my favorite sketches because it feels so unexpected and fun.

If you want to try drawing your own surreal monster, grab some prompts online—maybe “claw, desert, shadow” or “wing, ocean, glow.” Just pick up a pencil, let the words lead you, and see what crazy creature you can create. I’d love to see your drawings, so share them somewhere, and we can nerd out over our weird art together!
